Insurance woes

Apparently the insurance companies don't like that the cottage's main source of heat would be the wood stove. This surprised us really, every cottage I've ever been in had wood stove heat. Anyway, many have said sorry to us and one that will allow us "with a provision" doesn't like the degree to which the cottage is finished.

So.....to ease the insurance woes, we decided not to go to Campobello Island this week as planned and have been busy installing Russian Maple hardwood floors. We'll still take 4-5 days for camping in New Hampshire though.

This wood has been sitting in our basement for 2 years so its really nice getting it out of there and having a useable rec room again. Still alot of furniture being stored down there for the cottage, but we're slowly getting that up there too.
