We're building our dream cottage this year. We have a lovely waterfront lot on a point of land on a small lake in Southern Ontario.

Painted and ready to roll

Woo hoo! 2 coats of paint on it all.

The final choices were:
  • great room and upstairs - Navajo white (I don't care what they say, it ain't white)
  • master bedroom - Valley Mist (hmmm, I really wanted more green than blue, but it is pretty)
  • bathroom - Cornsilk

We should be able to reasonably use it soon. Next week we start cleaning and getting ready to start getting settled. Can't wait to get things organized. I'm tired of the mess. The shower and toidie can go in too. Technically the tile should be put in the bathroom first, but I think I'll try to figure out a temporary fix for now. Tile probably won't go in until next year. We'll start putting the cedar plank ceiling up downstairs as well. It's a 3 day weekend, a little work, a little play, should be nice.

The first pic is the dining area and a bit of the kitchen. It's all open concept. Notice the plugs and switches all have covers on them too. We're starting to get civilized here.

2nd pic of the wood stove in the sitting area.

3rd pic is the master bedroom.

And just so you don't think we're NOT enjoying ourselves too. Here's a pic of Bill getting the fire going. We've been cooking our evening meal over the campfire. Steaks, baked potatoes and roasted corn on the cob. Oh yeah, we're roughing it.
